If I had just one wish
To ask for anything
I’d ask for one more day with you
To show how much you mean
I know I’ve had a lifetime
To show you how I feel
Somehow it doesn’t seem so long
It doesn’t feel so real
If God came to me tonight
To grant me one request
I’d pray somehow your soul would know
I’d always loved you best
For somehow in those fleeting moments
I think I’d lost my way
For now what words can be spoken
What reassurances can I say?
I’ll tell you in all honesty
Words this emptiness can’t fill
But your memory will live on
In those who love you still
For if I had just one more day
I know what it would do
It would only leave me wanting
Just one more day with you

I love you mom, I know that losing you taught me what real hardship is. I learned how and who to depend on when things really get bad. More than that I learned i’m so much more like you than I ever knew. I miss watching matlock with you in your room or cheesy lifetime movies. Mostly I miss you calling me poohbear. You lit up all of our lives, you were truly outta sight.
Peace & LoVE
